South Dakota – Farming Simulator 2013 (PC)
***See Dakota, N.
Tennessee – The History Channel: Civil War – A Nation Divided (Xbox 360/PS2/PC)
This game has like five historic Civil War battles that took place in Tennessee, which is more than every other game ever made combined.
Texas – Red Dead Redemption (Xbox 360/PS3)
It's not exactly Texas, but you know… cowboys and stuff.
Utah – Resistance 2 (PS3)
Part of the game takes place in Utah, so even though it's a thin connection, it's still a connection.
Vermont – Naughty Bear (Xbox 360/PS3)
Another thing I did not know until this article: Vermont is known for its Vermont Teddy Bear Company. They make 500,000 teddy bears a year, all hand-crafted.
Virginia – Robert E. Lee Civil War General (PC from 1996)
I remember playing this game on my Windows 95 rig. Great strategy game… at least 13-year-old me thought so.
Washington – Infamous: Second Son (PS4)
A lot of games to choose from for Seattle. Could've went with a Twilight game or something. Instead, play the next-gen Infamous game (which I'm currently in the middle of).
West Virginia – Minecraft (Xbox 360/PS3/PC)
Lots of coal mines. At least your state is represented by a good game!
Wisconsin – MLB 14: The Show (PS4)
No one thought the Brewers would be this good this year. No one.
Wyoming – Train Simulator 2013
Featuring the Sherman Hill route taking you from Laramie to Cheyenne, Wyoming, featuring the famous Dale rocks!!! Get excited!!! Choo Choo!!!
You've made it to the end. Congrats! Have a happy 4th of July and be safe!

New Mexico – Half-Life (PS2/PC)
The Black Mesa Research Facility is in New Mexico. This is a no brainer.
New York – Max Payne (Xbox/PS2/PC)
In before Mark Wahlberg ruins it. So many games to choose from that take place in New York, but this one is personal favorite of mine.
North Carolina – NBA 2K11/2K12 (Xbox 360/PS3)
You get the two basketball games to use Michael Jordan as a feature. He was a Tarheel. You got dibs on him.
North Dakota – Farming Simulator 2013 (PC)
If you know one thing about North Dakota besides "farms," by all means let me know.
Ohio – Farming Simulator 2013 (PC)
I didn't know this, but Ohio is really big in agriculture. Farming Simulator it is.
Oklahoma – Nancy Drew: Trail of the Twister (PC)
I feel like this is mean, but there are a lot of Nancy Drew games. Tons of states have a Nancy Drew game. But you're the only one with just a Nancy Drew game.
Oregon – The Oregon Trail (Your Childhood)
Nostalgia!!! Oregon Trail is the visual opposite of the Oregon Ducks uniforms.
Pennsylvania – The Last of Us (PS3)
I haven't played it yet (waiting for it on the PS4), but my brother said that it takes place over a couple of states, Pennsylvania being one of them.
Rhode Island – City of Heroes Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Would have been City of Heroes… but you can't play that anymore 🙁
South Carolina – Nascar 14 (Xbox 360/PS3/PC)
You know South Carolina loves them some Nascar at the Darlington Raceway.

Massachusetts – Assassin's Creed 3 (360/PS3/Wii U/PC)
Another no-brainer. It's the American Revolution!!!
Michigan – RoboCop 3 (Sega Genesis)
It's not a great game. Or a great movie. And Detroit isn't portrayed well in the movie. But it has RoboCop, so that's a plus, right?
Minnesota – War of the Vikings (PC)
Your state is cold and you have an NFL team named the Vikings.
Mississippi – Madden NFL 09 (Xbox 360/PS3)
You guys sure do love your golden boy, Brett Favre. So you should play the Madden game he graced the cover of.
Missouri – Farming Simulator 2013 (PC)
If this was a movie list, I would have put Meet Me in St. Louis. But it's not. So you get Farming Simulator.
Montana – Hannah Montana: The Movie (Xbox 360/PS3)
I'm sorry Montana. You don't deserve this, but I couldn't resist.
Nebraska – Farming Simulator 2013 (PC)
I visited this state during college. It's all corn. All of it.
Nevada – Fallout: New Vegas (Xbox 360/PS3/PC)
Duh.
New Hampshire – Nascar 14 (Xbox 360/PS3/PC)
At this point, it's a good bet that if I don't know a video game that takes place in your state, either Farming Simulator or Nascar will apply.
New Jersey – EA Sports UFC (Xbox One/PS4)
One of your arenas are in the game. It was either EA Sports UFC or GTL: Gym, Tan, Laundry.

Hawaii – Test Drive Unlimited 2 (Xbox 360/PS3/PC)
Drive around Hawaii and take in the scenery. Maybe you'll spot Dog the Bounty Hunter.
Idaho – Farming Simulator 2013 (PC)
One of those many states that fall into the farming category.
Illinois – Watch Dogs (Xbox One/PS4/PC/Xbox 360/PS3)
It's not the best game ever, but it takes place in Chicago and it's better than the Cubs.
Indiana – NCAA March Madness 06 (Xbox/PS2)
All I know about Indiana is that people their love their college basketball. You get to play the last great NCAA basketball game.
Iowa – Farming Simulator 2013 (PC)
I know for a fact that Iowa is all about farming. My neighbor is from there.
Kansas – FIFA (All platforms)
Our freelancer Tate Steinlage is from Kansas and claims it is the U.S. capital for soccer.
Kentucky – Kentucky Route Zero (PC)
I don't know anything about this game, but supposedly it's a good adventure game taking place in the caves beneath Kentucky. You can also drink bourbon while playing.
Louisiana – Shadow Man (N64)
Louisiana and Voo Doo go together like Mardi Gras and beads. Wait, is there a game where you throw out beads and see… Maybe I should have put Leisure Suit Larry?
Maine – Silent Hill (PlayStation)
Everything I read says Silent Hill takes place in Maine, which means I'll never be visiting Maine.
Maryland – The Suffering: Ties That Bind (Xbox/PS2/PC)
I've never heard of this game, but supposedly it's decent and it takes place in Baltimore.

It's the 4th of July — every American's favorite time of year to drink beer, grill in the heat, blow sh*t up, and wear red, white and blue. This year might see lots of rain and a potential hurricane on the east coast, so you might want to stay in doors for a bit. But that doesn't mean you can't celebrate our independence from the comfort of your couch! Depending on the state you live in, here's a video game you could play for every state in the U.S.
Go America, and Happy 4th of July!
Alabama – NCAA Football 14 (Xbox 360/PS3)
There's nothing Alabama loves more than Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide. Roll Tide. Unless you're an Auburn fan.
Alaska – Remington Super Slam Hunting: Alaska (Wii)
All I know about Alaska is Sarah Palin, hunting, and vampires killing off towns of people.
Arizona – Cruis'n USA (N64)
How often is Arizona a level in a racing game — especially a classic like this one?
Arkansas – Fuel (Xbox 360/PS3/PC)
Arkansas is known for their bad weather and extreme storms. Fuel has you race next to a tornado.
California – Grand Theft Auto V (Xbox 360/PS3)
Obviously.
Colorado – Outlast (Xbox One/PS4/PC)
It takes place in a creepy asylum in the mountains of Colorado. If you're high, the game will be even scarier. You're from Colorado… of course you're high.
Connecticut – ESPN NFL 2K5 (Xbox/PS2)
The home of ESPN, no better game to celebrate Connecticut than arguably the best football game (with ESPN branding).
Delaware – Nascar 14 (Xbox 360/PS3/PC)
… What game would take place in Delaware? At least they have the Dover International Speedway.
Florida – Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (Xbox/PS2/PC)
Again… obviously.
Georgia – The Walking Dead Season 1 (Xbox 360/PS3/Vita/PC/iOS)
The best bad thing to ever happen to the city of Atlanta/state of Georgia.
