Why your most anticipated games of 2015 will actually suck

As 2014 comes to a close, it's time to look ahead to 2015 — a year filled with developer lies promises of epic AAA blockbuster experience. We've got a new Battlefield, a new Assassin's Creed, probably a new Call of Duty, and a new Halo. We've also got completely new IPs — a rarity considering publishers hate taking risks now. Bloodborne and Drawn To Death promise us new gameplay experiences filled with fun and excitement.

But if there's one thing 2014 has taught me, it's that all of these promises — all of the hope developers build up through E3, pre-ordering incentives, trailers — it's all rubbish. 2015 will offer nothing new, nothing different. It'll be more of the same — generic gameplay, server issues at launch, glitches due to games being rushed (even though most of these games have already been delayed).

Sorry to be a grinch this year, but here's why your most anticipated games of 2015 are actually really going to suck.

Battlefield: Hardline

Why it will suck: Not sure if now is the best time to be releasing a "Cops vs. Robbers" type game here in America.

Why there's still hope: As long as there's no chokehold melee option.

Assassin's Creed: Victory

Why it will suck: See Assassin's Creed Unity.

Why there's still hope: Maybe we'll get another free game out of it.

Bloodborne

Why it will suck: It'll never be as hard as Demon's Souls. It'll never live up to Dark Souls.

Why there's still hope: We still died a lot in our preview.

Halo 5: Guardians

Why it will suck: Online multiplayer matchmaking will crash and burn.

Why there's still hope: The single-player campaign. We're not tired of Master Chief's story yet, are we?

Star Wars: Battlefront

Why it will suck: Being developed by DICE, the same studio behind Battlefield 4… We all know how that went…

Why there's still hope: At least Battlefield 4 is more like Battlefield 3 now.

Drawn to Death

Why it will suck: When is the last time David Jaffe made a good game?

Why there's still hope: Just kidding, I kind of liked the recent Twisted Metal.

Sorry to have been the one to burst your bubble, but it's better you accept that your most anticipated games are probably going to suck then have an entire year filled with broken promises and disappointment.
