Wii’s the Perfect Platform for Ty

In an interview with Australian Nintendo web site, Aussie-Nintendo, Krome Studios’ Co-Founder and Creative Director Steve Stamatidiadis talked about bringing a new iteration in the Ty the Tasmanian Tiger series to Wii sometime in the future.

On the subject of developing another game in the franchise, Stamatidiadis said, “Yes, there will be another TY game or two from us as we feel he’s definitely got staying power and a few more tricks up his sleeves for fans. At the moment though we’re taking a bit of a break from the TY universe (it’s been 5 years of TY game development for some of us.) I think the Wii is the perfect platform for a TY game and you can bet your booties that we’ll be doing one down the track.”

The Ty franchise was born in the fall of 2002 and features adventure/platformer themes. Since then, there have been three different entries in the series across multiple platforms.
