Wii Fit is coming soon (May 19th), and to Europe even sooner (April 25th), which is why it is little surprise that the price has been announced, set at £69.99 in the UK, and for €89.99 across the rest of Europe.
Converting the two to US Dollars, the price comes out to about $136.17 (from Euros) to $139.44 (from Pounds), but has been said to cost less than $100 when it reaches American shores.
On a related note, IGN recently conducted a survey of its readers to find out how much they would be willing to pay for Wii Fit. Out of 6116 polled, 27.6% wouldn’t pay more than $49.99 for the package, 22.5% at $79.99, 18.9% for $69.99, 15.9% for $59.99, and 7.4% going for $89.99 and $99.99 each.
Naturally, products such as this tend to be skewed towards the casual audience, which probably don’t often fill in polls on websites like IGN, so despite a number of gamers saying they wouldn’t pay that much for the product, it remains to be seen if Wii Fit can match the 1.4 million it’s sold in Japan throughout the rest of the world.
