System 3 is a development studio that is bringing back old games such as Impossible Mission and California Games to new consoles like the Wii and DS. Mark Kale, founder of System 3 is keeping true to the basis of which both these games were created on. Each title will, “keep the gameplay mechanics the same or else it ceases to be the original game and you’re only using the game brand to sell games.”
These titles are primarily suited for handhelds such as the DS and PSP which will receive Impossible Mission in May of 2007. However, Mark won’t let the console only owners be left in the dust. He promised a Wii version of Impossible Mission will be released a mere three weeks after its DS counterpart.
It seems that Nintendo has won the heart of another developer, as Kale commented by saying, “The way the controllers work and the whole idea of it actually works a lot better than if it’s on the PS3 or 360.” Fans can look forward to more Wii support from System 3.
