Saturday, July 30th, 2005 is the day to visit Goody’s stores, as not only will there be a fun-filled day for kids with clowns, balloons, and refreshments, but each store will also be giving away a Nintendo DS. Shoppers can also register to win a Nintendo DS system, and lucky person will win a Nintendo DS, with a drawing taking place at the close of the business day on July 30th.
“Kid’s Day is our chance to show the public that we are not just all business oriented but also in touch with their families. But more than everything else, it’s fun for the kids,” said Melissa Cantrell, Store Manager of Goody’s in Princeton.
Goody’s will also be featuring a T-shirt design contest for kids 12 and under. Two winners (1 boy, 1 girl) will receive a $500 Goody’s gift card and their design will actually be used in the 2006 summer collection, with credit being given to the winners on the T-shirt tags.
“Last year we had almost 200 children in the building. Store associates dress down and everyone has a wonderful time with the children. Spider-Man was here last year and we also had face painting, storytelling and kids’ karaoke. We like every child who comes here to leave with something. We’ve done this for several years and each time it just seems to get better. When parents see their kids having fun, they have fun too,” said Terrie Scott, Store Manager of Goody’s in Bluefield, Virginia.
In addition, to the Nintendo DS giveaway and T-shirt design contest, with a $100 purchase of Levi’s, shoppers will receive a game piece that can be redeemed for a $10 discount, or a chance to win an Apple iPod. cleave infinitmana
