Xbox One game releases for February 2015

All things considered, it's a pretty busy February for Xbox One

For a January, it was actually a pretty exciting month for Xbox One. And the impressive pace of game releases continues in February. While 2K's Evolve is probably the biggest title of the bunch to release this month, the Xbox One sees a number of other promising-looking games release in February.

Here's what's on the schedule.

Game of Thrones: Episode 2 – The Lost Lords – February 4, 2015

Game of Thrones Episode 2

After more than a month of waiting, we'll finally get to continue Telltale Games' thrilling adventure based off the Game of Thrones series. Episode 2: The Lost Lords picks up where the first episode left off — I won't spoil anything but I'm sure those of you who played it know the massive cliffhanger I'm referring to. Episode 2, The Lost Lords will continue the story of House Forrester, so if you're fully invested in the story from the first episode, don't hesitate to pick up Episode 2 when it drops on February 3rd.

Evolve – February 10, 2015

Evolve

Evolve is a 4v1 game where four hunters team up and try to hunt down another player that's controlling one of many hulking and dangerous monsters. And with 2K looking over the results of the last beta, they'll make sure that the game is fine tuned to be balanced, so no side is ever more powerful than the other.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round – February 17, 2015

Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round

Featuring a stunning cast of lovely ladies, martial arts, and mesmorizing jiggle physics, Dead or Alive 5: The Last Round is kicking and punching its way to Xbox One in February. Last Round adds two new characters and upgraded graphics to make use of the Xbox One's improved hardware. After its release on February 17th, the devs will also add an online component so you can take your bouts online.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse – February 24, 2015

Dragon Ball Xenoverse

For the first time ever in the Dragon Ball universe, Dragon Ball Xenoverse will see you play as a character you created. With the help of Trunks, you'll travel through time and intervene with the past to restore Dragon Ball history. By having the timeline be disrupted, this will create new, never before seen scenarios that will add some variety to the tried and true storyline that DBZ fans are familiar with.

Resident Evil Revelations 2: Episode 1 – February 24, 2015

Resident Evil Revelations 2

This is Resident Evil's first foray into episodic adventures starts with the continuation of the Revelations storyline. The story will take place between RE5 and RE6, where Claire Redfield will once again be the main character, however, others like Barry Burton will be playable as well. The first episode will release on February 24th.

Pneuma: Breath of Life – February 27, 2015

Pneuma

Pneuma: Breath of Life is a new first-person puzzler that looks to "push your brains to its limits." From the description, the game "provides players with an unrivaled sense of awe and a relentless determination to solve every puzzle and progress through a narrated story of self-discovery, exploring the fundamental nature of being." The difficult puzzler is designed to force players to think outside of the box and explore beyond what they know as reality through the eyes of a god.

#IDARB – February 2015 (Games with Gold) – Released in January

An offbeat, crowdsourced multiplayer action game, #IDARB is described as a "chaotic 8-player eSport jumping jetpack future arena ball game." Inspired by Bomberman and Smash Bros., with a mix of "cans of soda and paint-by-number books," players try to steal a ball and launch it into their goal. Players are able to pass the ball between each other and can emit an electronic pulse to knock it out of another player's hands. What makes #IDARB unique — especially as an eSports game — is that the audience has an influence in the game. Viewers who are spectating a match can disrupt the players, in real time, through either Twitch or Twitter. Some examples include turning the ball into a bomb, spawning fireworks, filling the screen with water, and more. #IDARB was supposed to be released in February, as a free Games with Gold title, but was released early. It's now available to purchase for $14.99, or is available for free if you're an Xbox LIVE Gold member.
