Xbox One game releases for March 2015

While January and February were no slouches with some big name releases like Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, The Order: 1886, Evolve, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and Majora's Mask, March is stepping up as one of the most jampacked months full of awesome games to look out for.

Whether you want to build rollercoasters in Screamride, play cops and robbers in Battlefield Hardline, or perhaps uncover the secrets of Resident Evil Revelations 2, you'll get all those opportunities this month.

Let's take a look at what March has in store.

Screamride – March 3

A spiritual successor of sorts to Rollercoaster Tycoon, players will be able to build and also demolish their very own rollercoaster creations. In the game's Engineering mode, players will be tasked with creating the most insane rollercoaster designs along with various backdrops and scenery.

Though the game gets even crazier in Demolition Expert, as players will be tasked to bring down various buildings with perfectly placed coaster tracks, and then watch the mayhem happen right before their eyes.

DmC: Definitive Edition – March 10

While we've already slain demons in DmC back when it released on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, we're now getting the chance to do it all over again, with expanded content on the Xbox One. Higher resolution and smoother framerate are just two of the added perks of playing on more powerful systems, but players will also have access to all previously released DLC, including Vergil's Downfall campaign.

Ori and the Blind Forest – March 11

This gorgeous indie game revolves around Ori, who is a tiny white spirit, on a quest to save its bear-like mother from a dark spirit.

I honestly know very little about the game's story, but I think that's for the better. Though what I could gather from the trailer alone, is that this will not only be one of the most gorgeous games on the Xbox One, but also very emotional.

Battlefield Hardline – March 17

What can I say, another year, another Battlefield. Though I guess that's a little harsh, since Call of Duty is way more guilty of that.

This year, the theme is cops and robbers. In the game's main campaign, you'll be going through an episodic adventure, much like a TV show, as you take control of two cops.

Of course where the game will either live or die by its fanbase will be the multiplayer. Visceral opted for more fast paced gameplay, where police players will be able to kill their enemies, or also incapacitate and arrest them.

Bladestorm: Nightmare – March 17

Bladestorm was an awesome Tecmo Koei game from 2007 where instead of a singular unit taking on thousands of enemies, you controlled multiple squads at once. These squads had various strenghts and weaknesses against one another.

Of course the setting was quite unique too, as it revolved around the Hundred Years' War, meaning you'll come face to face and even work under Joan of Arc. Nightmare introduces an entirely new scenario where players will fight fantasy creatures like Dragons and Goblins.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD – March 17

I haven't been this excited for a Final Fantasy game since Final Fantasy X. Seriously, I've been let down so many times with various recent FF games, or at least they've never quite lived up to my expectations.

Type-0 revolves around Class 0, an elite class of students all wielding powerful weapons. You can expect war, crystals, monsters and other Final Fantasy tropes to make their way into Type-0, except this time combat is real-time.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection – March 24

Fancied Borderlands 2 and Borderlands the Pre Sequel, but wish you could play them on your Xbox One? Look no further! The Handsome Collection bundles these two titles, as well as their respective DLC into one neat package.

I still wish Borderlands 1 made the cut instead of the Pre Sequel, but that's a rant for another time.

Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious – March 27

What's cooler than a standalone expansion for Forza Horizon 2 that's themed after Fast & Furious? It being completely free! That's right, this pack which adds a whole new storyline voiced by Ludacris, as well as eleven brand new cars to earn and race, will be completely free to download starting March 27 until April 10. At that point, it will only cost you $10. So seriously, don't forget to download it. IT'S FREE!

Neverwinter – March 31

Neverwinter magic missiled its way to PC back in 2013. This time, it's going to give Xbox One players a chance to explore its world and battle the many evils in the game.

We got a chance to play the Beta, and even did a short video on it, checking out the controls and how the game looks. You can check out the video above. The game will remain free-to-play, with various microtransactions available for those who want to pay for in-game items.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Episodes 2-4 – March 3 / 10 / 17

Revelations 2 already caught us by surprise for being a damn good Resident Evil game. And while we haven't given the game a final score, since we're holding out for all four episodes to come out, we really liked what we played so far.

Raid Mode alone makes the price of admission worth it, as it alone provides loads of hours leveling up various characters. And hey, it's getting online co-op soon, so that's awesome!

Life is Strange Episode 2 – TBA

The first episode of this episodic title from Dontnod Entertainment was surprisingly good, with some great time rewind mechanics that allowed you to always experience different key events in the game in multiple ways. The second episode can't come soon enough as there are so many questions left unanswered.
