Video Games - E3 2009 - Videogames
It's nice to see some old levels making their way back into the game. I'm guessing they'll look even better in the PS3's high-definition.

Revenge is coming soon... TransFormers: Revenge of the Fallen, that is. And with it will come a new video game, one that will hopefully be good. To that end, a number of new videos are available as members of the development staff show us what to expect.
First up, Art Director Justin Thomas reveals to us the part of the film where Shia LaBeouf's dad isn't home, so he calls upon his other father figure, Optimus Prime, to give him a ride around town so he can find some Funyuns. And while he's busy checking the stores, Optimus has to fight off wave after wave of munchy-craving Decepticon warriors.

Media: 17 New DC Universe Online Screens and Four Walkthrough Videos
What better place to show off and reveal more of a game like DC Universe Online than at New York Comic Con?
In addition to some off-screen walkthroughs and gameplay from the show, we have 17 new screenshots in our gallery, depicting a heavily-armored Lex Luthor tearing up his favorite city. You have to love the attention to detail in these screens, too; look, and you can spot one of Bruce Wayne's corporate branches there in Metropolis.
As for Luthor himself... anyone ever notice that he shares the same color scheme as the Green Goblin, from Marvel? And they're both billionaire industrialist supervillains... what's up with that?

Media: PS3 Firmware 2.6 Walkthrough
PlayStation.Blog has released a ton of these walkthrough videos recently, perhaps in order to allow more technically novice users of the console to feel completely at home. I think it's a great measure that Sony's taking, and I really think it will work towards getting more people to make the most out of their console.
Hit the break to see what we'll be seeing in the coming-soon-2.6...
Media: CES: DC Universe Online Developer Walkthrough
Another of Sony's showings from the Consumer Electronics Show as that of DC Universe Online, Sony Online Entertainment's big MMO action superhero title.
The first video shows off some of how one creates their own character, as you won't be playing as the likes of Superman or Batman.

Media: Guitar Hero World Tour – The Walkthrough
Activision has released a four-part walkthrough which will help teach you the ropes for their upcoming Guitar Hero World Tour, which is of course going to be just a little different from the previous Guitar Hero titles.
Ladies and gentlemen, class is now in session.

Media: Video Walkthrough of SOCOM: Confrontation’s Desert Glory Map
I'll be honest: Throughout college, I played way more SOCOM on my PS2 than I ever studied for my classes. That said, I wasn't all that excited for PS3's inaugural SOCOM release SOCOM: Confrontation until I came across this video walkthrough of the completely remade Desert Glory map.
Seeing Desert Glory redone brings back so many memories of the fragfests that occurred right at the beginning of every round, and the tense moments of trying to rescue the hostages from the prison cell before time runs out. I'm sold, Slant Six. I don't even care that you're not Zipper Interactive.
Media: Vertical Cover Walkthrough for Dark Void
Capcom's Jose Perez III takes us on a tour of the upcoming Dark Void, which should be available on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, if you should swing that way.
In this particular instance, he goes over the ins and outs of using vertical cover to evade your enemies. It's a pretty neat change of pace, to move up a cliff and use the undersides of overhanging ledges to protect yourself.
E3 2008: Media: The Agency Developer Walkthrough
Ok, I was done for the day, but then I spotted these videos, and they were just too good not to share.
The last time anything was reported was before I even began here, about a year ago, which might explain why I hadn't heard of it until now. Between DC Universe Online and this, it's a good thing I don't own a PS3-- I've always feared MMO addiction, and either of these may very well justify that.
Hey! Q-Bert!
