It has been over a year since Nintendo made Treasure's Sin & Punishment 2 known as a part of its stable of upcoming products, and fans of the original title have been eager to learn more about this long-awaited sequel to the one-time Japanese exclusive Nintendo 64 game released back in 2000 (and in 2007 worldwide on Virtual Console).
Today, the UK's Official Nintendo Magazine managed to get their hands on some new footage of the Wii title, which is slated for a Spring 2010 release in North America and Europe:
The lack of mention on Nintendo's recent first-quarter lineup announcement has led to concerns that perhaps the company is abandoning the title, but ONM sounds confident of continued plans for its release. Odds are, it's Nintendo keeping secrets again, given that their Wii lineup for the first quarter is nonexistent. That, and Spring does reach into the second quarter, which also marks a new fiscal year, perhaps figuring into their strategy somehow.
