2K Sports Pitching MLB Superstars to Wii Owners
kombo -
2K Sports announced today that it's currently developing a Major League Baseball-themed minigame compilation title called MLB Superstars, leaving Wii owners like myself scratching their heads and wondering why we just can't get a port of MLB 2K8 for Nintendo's motion-tracking console.
Fully utilizing the Wii's motion sensing capabilities and easy pick-up-and-play functionality, MLB Superstars puts a brand new spin on classic games with Baseball Pachinko, Baseball Bocci, and Baseball Golf.
On their own or with friends, MLB Superstars offers gamers a unique baseball experience with a wide variety of activities. Fans can play Mascot Dance and have their favorite mascot boogie to the rhythm of that funky beat, or have a smashing good time with the Green Monster game by becoming the first to smash down their wall with a baseball bat, swinging frantically to stop the Green Monster from crashing through! Gamers aim for the high score and win numerous trophies to outfit their player in a multitude of ways! -- 2K Sports Press Release
Baseball Pachinko, Baseball Bocci, and Baseball Golf don't sound all that exciting, but the Mascot Dance minigame sounds interesting. Whenever the Chicago Cubs play the Pirates in Pittsburgh (like tonight), I always get a laugh out of seeing the Pirate Parrot make a fool out of the fans in attendance, probably just for being Pirate fans.

Media: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom – Go West! New Screens and Videos
kombo -
The Tokyo Game Show has arrived, and we can finally put the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom speculation to rest. Well, one part, anyway. Thus far, only one new character has been revealed: the long-awaited fighting game debut of Dead Rising star Frank West, who is more than up to the challenge (he's covered wars, you know).
Here is the TGS trailer in which he makes his debut appearance:
In all honesty, he seems like the perfect character to mark the game's "West"-ern debut when it hits our shores on January 26th (29th in Europe).
Hit the jump to see more of West and fellow newcomer Tekkaman Blade in action, plus screens, art, and a fact sheet.
